چکیده
In Einstein's general relativistic description of gravitation, geometry replaces the concept of force. This is possible because of the universal character of free fall and would break down in its absence. On the other hand, the teleparallel version of general relativity is a gauge theory for the translation group and, as such, describes the gravitational interaction by a force similar to the Lorentz force of electromagnetism, a non-universal interaction. Relying on this point it is shown that, in the absence of the weak equivalence principle, although the geometric description of general relativity breaks down, the teleparallel gauge approach remains a consistent theory for gravitation.

Modern formulations of equivalence principles provide the foundation for an efficient approach to understanding and organizing the structural features of gravitation field theories. Since theories’ predictions reflect differences in their structures, principles of equivalence also support an efficient experimental strategy for testing gravitation theories and for exploring the range of conceiva...

The possibility of a symmetry between gravitating and anti-gravitating particles is examined. The properties of the anti-gravitating fields are defined by their behavior under general diffeomorphisms. The equations of motion and the conserved canonical currents are derived, and it is shown that the kinetic energy remains positive whereas the new fields can make a negative contribution to the so...

Two models, one assuming a massive dilaton and the other a massless dilaton, are used to calculate the equivalence violations of the spectrum of atoms. These are then compared and conclusions drawn.

We consider the possibility of using measurements of anomalous magnetic moments of elementary particles as a possible test of the Einstein Equivalence Principle (EEP). For the class non-metric theories of gravity described by the T Hǫµ formalism we find several novel mechanisms for breaking the EEP, and discuss the possibilities of setting new empirical constraints on such effects.

We studied the variation of Newton ́s gravitational constant G, using the experimental data and the scalar-tensor theory for gravitation. We search for a fine tunning to match the datas and find possible scenarios for the history of this constant.
